Echocardiogram

Dr. Ahmad may order an echocardiogram for you to assess the size, shape, thickness and function of you heart.

What can I expect during an echocardiogram?

The technician will apply a gel over your skin and take pictures of your heart. It takes approximately 30 minutes.

How will I find out the results of my test?

All patients are expected to return to follow-up on test results. Dr. Ahmad will discuss results with you in great detail with the aid of diagrams and images. Your questions and concerns will be answered as well. For your safety and privacy results are given in person and not over the phone.
